If you've managed to secure a spot at a game table then you should hear within a week of when that game in running.
Don't worry! You may get another chance to play, our GM's may run certain one shots more than once on different days, times and venues so that everyone gets a chance to play.
None of GM's are professionals and so you will never have to pay to play, however it might be that a venue charges for its use and you may be responsible for covering your own player fee. This will be made clear ahead of time in our event description.
Each game you sign up for will have its requirements listed on its event page but you can generally expect to need to bring a set of dice, character sheet (digital or paper), something to represent your character on a combat map (a mini, a Lego figure, a cut out or any appropriate sized object) and maybe a way to take notes. If you don't have these things, that's okay, just shoot an email over and the GM may be able to bring extra resources for you.
Each game will have a player limit and you might have just not made it in time before it booked up. Don't be disheartened, just try again. Also some games may have themes, like horror, that are only appropriate for 18+ players but this will also be covered in the event description.
We'll be letting everyone know on our news page when we're looking for new GM's, you will have needed to play in at least one of our games before, so we can at least start to build a rapport with you. After all, we can't vouch for you if we don't know you.
No, our GM's are at varying levels of experience so please do not expect a premium experience, this is for fun only.
We're sorry to hear if you didn't enjoy your one shot session. Unfortunately, due to the nature of this way of playing, it is possible for you to not like everything with your experience, if this is the case we ask for you to leave helpful feedback with us and our GM's so we take it on in future.
If you are in the middle of your session and you are not enjoying it for whatever reason, you can let your GM know and either resolve the issue or they can help you leave quietly. All of our GM's will go over safety tools at the beginning of the session, but if you have concerns feel free to let us know.
Our GM's run sessions around their own schedules and not in any professional capacity so we cannot be hired for events. Our GM's may agree to hosting a game as an individual but, it is completely up to them.
